Sex and drugs blackmail
The royal - who cannot be named for legal reasons - called in the police after being approached by two alleged blackmailers in August. The case is understood to be the first time in more than years that a member of the royal family has been the victim of blackmail. They claimed that they had a video tape showing the aide snorting the drug. After the approach from the two men in August, the royal tipped off Scotland Yard. Detectives then set up an undercover operation to trap the suspects.

David Armstrong-Jones Is The Royal Victim Of Wacky U.K. Gay Coke Extortion
Sex, cocaine, royalty, blackmail, a socialite from London's clubland locked up in a top security jail, and an Italian lawyer who has represented some of the most evil criminals of recent times The authorities had gone to unusual trouble to keep the whole story quiet. It began at the height of the summer, but it was not until the weekend that the first details leaked out. Yesterday, two men who are in prison accused of blackmail were named for the first time. They are Ian Strachan, a year-old, Scottish-born London property developer and Sean McGuigan, who is 10 years older and with a less glittering background. His home is close to a council estate in Battersea.

In recent weeks, a few posts and bumps on the Free Republic have involved stories of the use of boy prostitutes and surveillance for the purpose of blackmail by the highest levels of government. In one instance, dignitaries from 17 countries attending a APEC conference were placed under surveillance while some were being compromised by a child sex ring. A second case involving a child prostitute ring with connections to the highest levels of government occurred in Omaha, Nebraska.

The royal vehemently denied the claim and told police the alleged extortionists should be pursued, even if it meant giving evidence in court. Today Scotland Yard sources said they were "totally satisfied" that the victim of the plot had not been involved in any of the acts alleged. The name of the victim has been disclosed on the internet and in foreign media outlets but its publication in Britain is banned by a court order. They are alleged to have tried to blackmail the royal with a video of an aide taking cocaine and boasting of the sex act and a gay fling with an MP.
